2 Races Down

and only 34 to go.

Notes and reaction from a weekend

JJ Yeley might actually be a real cup driver. Top Finishing Gibbs driver, congrats on being the best rookie this weekend.

All the changes between teams looks like the changes were for the better. Look at the finishes for the 42, 26 and 2 teams, they've ran well and finished well in both races, it seems like they've improved for the better.

NASCAR had a relatively caution free race and even green flag pitstops! Thats a welcome sight, and hopefully this can be the beginning of a great season of green flag races and limited cautions. There wasn't one car retiring from today's race from an accident, a rarity in today's NASCAR.

Who would have thought going into today's race that the 42nd and 43rd Finishers would be the men who finished 1 and 2 points last year?

Now, the weirdest scheduling quirk, 2 races followed up with an off week that isn't. How long before the next weekend is a Cup Busch Combo? I don't see it being more than 2 or 3 years.

  • YAY MEARS! Look at that Bill, he's still second in points. Know why? B/c he's awesome! I always knew he had talent hiding in there somewhere. hehe
