Buschwackers aren't helping...
Sure TV ratings for Busch races might be up, sure crowds might be rising slighly. However, there is an identity crisis in NASCAR, the stars of Sunday are polluting the future star market on Saturday, making it increasingly more difficult to determine what drivers really have the potential and reasoning to become contenders on the Nextel Cup level. Saturday stars are having to share way too much time with the Nextel Cup regulars on Sunday, and I used to be for the action, but looking at Today's race, and I'm not sure that any Busch regular led laps, or heck ran up in the top 5 for the whole day.
The Busch series needs an identity all its own, racing on different tracks, and bringing new people to the sport, whether NASCAR can realize that and work on solving the problem remains to be seen. Hopefully in the Future NASCAR can start to work on this. Maybe the NASCAR Rule limiting teams would be more for Cup teams having Busch teams and Truck Series teams, because thats where the resources and work is really being shown in the Cup cars.
Maybe I'm just ranting because I'd like to see different people winning races and running up front, but there needs to be new talent, and its just not there right now. Hopefully someday soon it will.
