Labels

We're labeled as something or someone every day. We have tags and identifiers thrown out at us all the time, from geek and jock, to rich and poor. I find it amazing at how many people feel the need to label a person as something to identify with them. My name is Bill, if you want to identify me by something identify me by my name. Not by the tall guy with a gut who likes racecars and hockey. I would like for once for people to realize that labels and identifiers aren't the best way to relate to people. It would be nice to know me by my name and not by the things I do to describe me.
