Tony Stewart, two time Nextel Cup Champion. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it? Tony Stewart dominated the last half of the NASCAR season, holding off challenges by Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, and Greg Biffle to take home the title. A wonderful race, a great finish, between Biffle and Martin and Stewart holding on and surviving to take home his second title. Now its on to see if he can defend again in 2006.
Homestead Miami Speedway has become an incredible track for a weekend finale. Progressive banking, and the ability to run multiple grooves on a 1.5 mile racetrack is incredible and I think it needs to be looked at and instituted at many racetracks across the country. Homestead and Irwindale are two of the best paved tracks to watch a race at in the country and their advanced progressive banking philosophy has made for incredible racing.
