Home for the Holidays

As well pretty much everybody should know, I'm taking a big vacation here over the next 3 weeks. The longest vacation of my life, too bad I'll still have to work during it. But I'm going to spend more time at home than I have ever since I came out here. 14 days in the wonderful state of Colorado, and then a nice 4 day stay in Canada with Amanda. I'm looking forward to the time back at home, and hopefully spending more time there will take some of the stress out of being home away. So I'm taking a break from this thing until I get back home, See you all on the 3rd of January everybody.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all

Ever feel like you're having one of those days?

yeah, I had one of those, it was a day, I'm just glad its over, nobody reads or comments on this anyway, well besides Amanda, so what should it matter what I say here? If a man blogs and no one reads does anyone know?

8 hours of work

It wasn't all bad, having a normal 8-5 job, it really wasn't that bad. Nice to work all day and only have 1 thing to focus on. No more studying, no more quizzes, no more racing from school to get to work :)

Sure was fun :) and I can't wait to go back home for Christmas, only 2 more days.

I don't know what to say

So I'll just say that I'm a lucky man, who has had a great 20 years on earth, and has found a special woman to be apart of his life, and I would do anything to make sure she spends it with me. I'm lucky that I've had such supportive parents over the years to give me the opportunity of a lifetime and to be able to live a dream. I'm a lucky guy, and I should cherish every second of my life, and so should everyone else cherish theirs.

Graduated baby!!!!

Its over, after 63 long weeks, 19 classes and 2 retakes, I'm finally free of NASCAR Technical Institute. I should have ended up with a 3.95 gpa and still had 99% attendance, and I found out I made the Directors list or honor roll, 5 separate times, so go me :)

It was really nice having my parents here for 3 days, I definitely ate way too well, and going home isn't gonna help at all. Seeing them at graduation and knowing all they have done for me the past year it was nice to finally let them see me walk across a stage in a cap and gown.

But I'm free, such a great feeling, no more days getting up at 5:45 to go to school at 6:30 and then straight to work, it opens my days up so much and I'm so glad I finished it and did so well. Such a relief to me.

Last Day of school

Tomorrow is the final day, one last day of spending 6 hours at school wearing the same blue shirts I've worn for 15 months, one last day of class, one last final and one last A to get to keep a 3.95 GPA. One final time to be with classmates and friends before they move away and back across country. Its been a long time coming, and I'm glad its finally here.

2 days down 2 to go

Only 2 more days of classes until graduation, and I'm just about ready for it all, everything this week has been excellent, I even finished up two projects at the last second to get better grades on em, which was really nice. :D Work, that didn't go so well, I mean everything got done, but I just felt like everything I did today took twice as long as it should have. Just blah for all that. Only 2 more days of that this week too, so I shouldn't have any problems there either :)

Its gonna be a good week

Today flew by, literally. I can't believe the day is already over, it just started not that long ago. And if thats a sign for the future I can see this week being a very good week. Not only is it cut a day short by graduation, but having my parents out here makes things that much more exciting. I can't wait for them to be here, even if the weather looks like it'll be crappy this weekend.

Today we did a really cool thing in Class, be built an outline of a Cup car hood roof and decklid and their offsets from centerline, to compare as to how one was built to another. Its amazing how much you can do with such small tolerances and make a car work so much better at one type of track compared to another. You'd never believe it unless you actually saw it, and this was a great way to see it. Kinda neat when you can detail and draw everything out the way you want it to be.

Three days of class left and 4 days to graduation, I can't wait for it to be finally done :)

Since I forgot yesterday

I'll update twice, today has been a different day, I dunno why, but it just has been. There hasn't been much of a flow to the day, get up play a lil, talk to Amanda, I Love ya sweetie, and then play some more. add in some cleaning of my room getting ready for my parents to be here next weekend, and I'm ready to graduate. Only 5 more days to graduation, and only 11 more days until I go back home. but graduation, thats what I'm really looking forward to and its so close I can taste it. My first real graduation ceremony and its so important to me.

ack so I didn't update yesterday

So I'll update you with news you could use. Amanda, yeah she's beautiful, the most beautiful person I know, and most beautiful in my world. I love her so much, I couldn't imagine my life without her. Long distance relationships are hard, but when you have a person as wonderful and great as her in your life, you just have no choice but have the relationship. I'm so incredibly happy that I have found her and she is apart of my life ;)

Entering the final week

I'm down to my last 4 full days of school only 5 more mornings I have to drag myself out of bed at 6 am to get to school ontime. I'm so excited and so ready to be done with school, and my first actual graduation ceremony. Its been a long and stressful road to this point and I'm glad that now it seems finally done. One more week and I'm finally free and able to pursue my dreams.

Busy

With graduation coming in just about a week, and a big trip infront of me, I've spent the past week doing a bunch of research and resume work, finding out names and numbers of raceteams in my area. Its been a lot of fun, and most places have been more than willing to tell me what I needed or if I needed to fill out applications first to even be considered for a position. Its definitely a learning experience and I know I'll come out of all of this a better person.

and hey its December which means its finally Christmas time, and I'm ready to have a nice vaction from here in North Carolina and be home for long enough to get comfortable and not be living completely out of a suitcase. And soon enough I'll be back in Canada with Amanda, and that's gonna be bunches of fun. Can't wait for all of this to happen :D
