More Lyrics

Just cause this is kinda a cool thing, plus I get to see who really reads the blog :D

Alex needs to quit guessing she ended up getting 9 of em right, damn you and your music knowledge! These are still songs I really like but are a lil more obscure some arent' than the last ones.

1. A couple of the sound that I really like
Are the sounds of a switchblade and a motorbike
I’m a juvenile product of the working class
Whose best friend floats in the bottom of a glass

2. You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it’s worth it just to hear you say you’re going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, ’cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok

3. Nobody gonna take my girl
I’m gonna keep her to the end
Nobody gonna have my girl
She stays close on every bend
Oooh she’s a killing machine
She’s got everything
Like a moving mouth body control
And everything

4.Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die

Goes to visit his mommy
She feeds him well his concerns he forgets them
And remembers being small
Playing under the table and dreaming

5.We ended up at the grand hotel
It was empty cold and bare
But with the rolling truck stones thing just outside
Making our music there
With a few red lights and a few old beds
We make a place to sweat
No matter what we get out of this
I know we’ll never forget

6. Well you walk into a restaurant, strung out from the road,
You can feel the eyes upon you as your shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesn’t bother you, but you just want to explode.
Most times you can’t hear em talk, other times you can.
Oh the same old cliche, as that woman on her a man

7. I know, I know, you’ll probably scream and cry
That your little world won’t let you go
But who in your measly little world, (-uh)
Are you tryin’ to prove to that you’re
Made out of gold and-uh, can’t be sold

8. I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you,
Turned my whole world upside down.

9. I was dreaming while I drove
The long straight road ahead
Uh-huh, yeah

Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide
This fever for you was just burning me up inside

10. And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
Catch the mist, catch the myth
Catch the mystery, catch the drift.

Guess the Lyrics

Alex and a couple other people have done this and I really like it, plus I get to share some of my favorite music.

1. Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long long year stolen many man's soul and faith
I was around when Jesus Christ had His moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate washed his hands and sealed His fate
Pleased to meet you hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you is the nature of my game.

2. Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're loosin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?

3. So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

4. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

5. No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me round
Hey Satan, payed my dues
Playing in a rocking band
Hey Momma, look at me
I'm on my way to the promised land

6.There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

7. Stand up and be counted for what you are about to recieve
We are the dealers, we'll give you everything you need
Hail, hail to the good times
Cause rock has got the right of way
We ain't no legend, ain't no cause
We're just livin' for today

8. And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

9. Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you're alone and all you do is think

10. We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people, says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn, got roads to drive.

These shouldn't be that hard to figure out, atleast I don't think they are that hard :P

The Electrical Dependence

We as humans have become increasingly dependent on Electricity and electrical things over the years. Sadly this dependence leaves us sadly cold and bored when the magic power known as Electricity goes away. Damn those thunderstorms which took away my magic spark tonight, for I shall attempt to spite ye! So I've spent the last hour without power, which if my battery holds out you will be able to read, but if it doesn't well this all won't work out. :p

I did get a new poster today, a goodyear stars of 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup poster with all the Cup, and a couple of Cup wannabe drivers in it, and a hat cause I can answer NASCAR Trivia! I feel so special now that my knowledge of Jeff Burton leading every lap in a cup race has finally paid a dividend. NASCAR Tech trivia down, Jeopardy to go.

Friggen hot doesn't even begin to describe.

Its not even funny how hot it is, its nearly 6 pm and its still 100 degrees outside, and it feels like its nearly 110 degrees. Thank god tomorrow is gonna be almost 10 degrees cooler. I don't know how many more days I could handle it being this hot. School has been extremely boring this week cause we are learning how to use computers, *gasp* computers! On the other hand only 7 more days of class until I start the NASCAR phases, which I'm really really looking forward to. :D

The Ideal NASCAR Nextel Cup Schedule

This topic has been beaten around so many times it isn't funny, but after what I saw this weekend and much thought it kinda strikes me funny that the Cup cars aren't more of a premier single date touring series. I'd love to see NASCAR get rid of several second dates at racetracks as well they aren't really needed, and this could enable racetracks that don't have dates and lets them get what they have desperately desire, the NASCAR Nextel Cup series.

I figure there are only 4 racetracks that deserve or should have two dates on the schedule, those being the two superspeedways Daytona and Talladega and two of the Short tracks in Richmond and Bristol. That frees up several racedates to racetracks across the country that are worthy of a race date, places like Pikes Peak and Kentucky speedway, and it allows NASCAR to easily expand into NewYork and the Pacific without sacrificing more dates from the southeast.

Whether NASCAR would ever put into practice a schedule that could contain less race dates for ISC racetracks, or SMI ever putting up with a few fewer racedates I doubt would happen. Imagine a schedule that could easily fit in races at North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, Pikes Peak, Kentucky, Milwaukee, Nashville, the proposed new tracks in New York and Pacific Northwest and everybody still being happy with the dates they have.

Kurt Takes the Checkers

And now I know Alex is gonna be really happy tonight, cause her boy Kurt Busch took the checkers in the Cup race at Pocono. There we're several guys who had good runs that really suprised me Rusty Wallace being one and Ricky Rudd being another.

There are two guys who you have to feel for, ruining top tens or top 5 finishes in the last 8 laps for being involved in accidents not of their doing. First hard luck award goes to Mikey Waltrip, who had battled and fought his way into the top 10 only to get wrecked with less than 10 to go when Greg Biffle had a flat tire. Poor guy can't buy any luck this year. The statement applies to Kasey Kahne as well; getting wrecked with two laps to go after nearly clearing Carl Edwards for 4th place and getting turned into the wall.

I have to admit though that I seriously wonder how worthy a place like Pocono is to have both of its dates. After seeing the race at Memphis and Pikes Peak, I wonder if maybe the Nextel Cup series needs to take a hard look at diversification of the schedule and allowing very few tracks to have second race dates. I'd love to see Cup racing at places like PPIR or Milwaukee or Memphis or Kentucky even.

WTG David Green

One of the nicest guys on the NASCAR Busch circuit came through with a victory at my home speedway. Pikes Peak International Raceway. Too bad I couldn't have been too busy to see it. I'm still kinda upset that I couldn't get to go play because I know that if I wasn't here I could be down there racing.. oh well, its over now and I can't change it. and there is always next year. I was very impressed with how well that racetrack races on TV, cause I've never seen a race there on TV. The track would be worthy of a cup race if it was located in Denver, too bad it isn't :(

Argh.

School really pissed me off. Actually people who like to try to push the rules at school piss me off. People that complain when they get busted for breaking the rules at school piss me off. People who can't take a punishment piss me off. Wanna know what all those things have in common besides being things that piss me off? Yeah thats right, they all happened today... Its always great to have a pissed off instructor, berating the class over the actions of three people and then taking others and interrogating them over was this like this before you were out in lab and all that. Needless to say, I've had a wonderful day.

Work as boring and slow, but we had to hang around until 4:45 because a couple of people had to be slow asses and not make it to pick up their stuff until late. I really wish people that say they are gonna be in a place at a certain time would call and say they are gonna be late, so you aren't anticipating them being there and not showing...argh.

I'm supposed to be in the wonderful 100 degree heat at Pikes Peak International Raceway this weekend, and that obviously isn't happening, I really really wish I coulda gone and played with the racecars. I'll just watch the Busch race and hope that NBC thinks about mentioning the Midwest?Southwest Combo race that we we're gonna run. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Flat Tires and Resume's

Today was an interesting day, to say the least. On the way to school I knew something wasn't right, my tire inflation light went off. Which in all its simplisticness is a pretty cool little thing, cause I really did have a tire going flat, albeit pretty slowly. So I go to class wondering what I'm gonna do about it, knowing I don't have time to change it on my break, and I had a career development class that ran into my lunch so i couldn't change it then. Bill gets to be late for work....oh goody goody. Work wasn't too bad, but all I did all day was load trucks and box foundations for beds and a couple beds themselves, not much fun there.

On a side note the school is making me a resume based off my experiences. It was the reason I got a short lunch today, and its nice of them to do that. Plus I can give them a list of companies who they can call and get info and send personalized cover letters and resume's to. I'm really thinking that would be a cool thing to try to work on as far as getting a job with a raceteam.

Bill's Career Track

Its starting to come along much much better than I thought. Tomorrow I have a mandatory class in which they are going to help us build resumes, and today I got pulled to be apart of a Manufactures Training program, which if I wasn't so hell bent on racing is actually a pretty damn cool deal, if you like moving again, going to school for another three months, and having to work for that MFG once you get out of their school. but its free and they place you in a job, so it can't be all that bad. I don't think those people who work the programs get many who are hell bent on racing like I am, but she did her best to try to talk me into one of those programs...grrr. In other news its freakin hot here, it was 95 today, but it felt like it was 110 earlier...not cool.

oh and a random Picture from Colorado, here's a sunset from my grandpa's house.

Remind me to shut up next time...

like I said yesterday, I have a big mouth, and its managed to get a couple of people I know well upset at each other and well now I'm not happy about it. I guess things that could be considered my business wasn't and now I have two people bickering and bithing about who is right who is wrong and how things got blown out of proportion. Its sad too because I thought they were both better than that, but I guess not. I'm sure they'll get things resolved, but I'm kinda upset that something that I thought was my business obviously wasn't, and its started a whole big chain of events to lead to this. People too often resort to namecalling and crap throwing to try to win arguements and its really beginning to annoy me. I mean I try to do everything I can professionally and handle myself in a professional matter. Then people resort to name calling and crapthrowing when you bring up points about them and what they are trying to prove.

In Better news I finally got my pictures developed from my trip home, and they look pretty :D but you can't see em today cause I'm too lazy to put em up on here.

New and Slighty Improved!

Bill has updated his links, and added a separate tab for other friends Blogs. Added a lil thing under the title of this thing and I'm thinkin of actually tryin a different layout. We'll see how that goes...

In other news Tony Stewart Dominated the Cup race today, but good runs by Bobby Labonte finishing third and Kasey Kahne for finishing 6th. Congrats to all of you. Poor Amanda and her boy Mikey couldn't get anything going all day, but he did finish alright coming home 17th.

Fridays....

At work they suck... majorly. I'm tired of the everything has to go today and right now when I know there isn't gonna be anything to do two out of the 5 days next week. But you know you still have to go do it...

School was good in the sense I'm done with this class finally and I finished with a 99% average, which I don't think is half bad honestly. Kinda pissed I missed questions at all actually. On to the next phase, advanced Diagnostics which is more of the same stuff. Should be an easy class for me. :D

In other news Bill needs a new computer because he's suffering from NASCAR Racing 2003 season withdrawls and with the release of the new sim rFactor...its time to get my wheel out. grrrr.

21 weeks to go!

Okay the celebration is a day premature but the class that I've completely screwed the hell out of I've finally passed. Only 21 more weeks til graduation and only three more weeks until I get to work on racecars!!!! :D I can't wait and am so glad that I've finally gotten through this class! Yay for me!

Spread the work out damnit!!!

Okay, inlight of the easy day I had at work yesterday...I wasn't even scheduled to work it was that slow, they decide that every single bed that was made in the world had to ship today.... Two Full trucks of beds left our dock today..thats over 160 pieces most of em weighing between 50 and 150 pounds. Wanna know how many pieces we shipped yesterday.....2 thats it 2.. The consistency or lack there of in shipping quantities is really starting to annoy me. I'd love if there was a way they could spread some orders out and make it so I had 20 nice solid hours of work each week. But I guess thats asking a lil too much.

On a side note I've figured out my graduation date which is gonna be December 9th, and everybody who reads this is invited ;) don't ask how you get here, just get here, cause I'm gonna party a lil.

Oh and Alex tagged me last night..which umm I dunno I guess I'm supposed to list my 5 favorite songs at the moment or somethin...

1. Hotel California -The Eagles

2. Kingdom Come- Coldplay (thanks Amanda)

3. Wish You Were Here -Pink Floyd

4. Stairway to Heaven -Led Zepplin

5. Wanted Dead or Alive- Bon Jovi

And I get to tag people! Whoohoo! So I'm gonna tag Joey and Jessica, cause they need to do it :p

Spam..

I hate Spam, both kinds actually, the inbox kind more than the real stuff. I mean don't people have better things to do than tell me I've won millions of dollars everyday. If these programs were real...just think what you would have, free shopping, loans whenever you want, creditcards, everything! I hate the tempting bastards with their home based businesses where I can make thousands of dollars a month...why do they have to keep making it sound so good! I just wish I could escape it all, it still gets by the spam filters half the time and the stuff I don't want filtered out gets caught half the time.....argh!

Monday, July 11, 2005

Ugh..

Today was probably the most boring day of work and school since I've started, I couldn't get into school at all, and work there wasn't anythingto do at all. Spent two hours taking out the trash, and still left nearly an hour early! I wouldn't even come in at all sept my bud that works all day is gonna give me a couple extra hours. I just hope I can make it to 3 tomorrow without running out of things to do.

On a side not I'm watching Office Space, like my second favorite movie, if only cause somedays it seems like it describes me.

Sunday, July 10, 2005

Respect the winner...

I hate certain people who can't handle it when a certain person takes a victory and all these chants of cheater, it was rigged, or he lucked into it. I mean why can't you accept that the guy won, and get over it. Its not like it directly effects you now is it? Maybe it does, and that is a little different. But just because your guy doesn't win doesn't mean that you have to go off on a tirade about how things are set up for the guy. Argh, people take a loss by your guy with a little dignity why don't ya...jeeze.

People change

I learned that on my trip home last weekend, and it suprised me at how much I've seen my friends change from when I came here. Maybe I shouldn't be upset with it, but I feel how bad that I've missed out on so much stuff there, but yet glad about what I'm doing here. Its incredibly frustrating, I feel like I could help, but I doubt that I can do much to help my friends return to the right sides of the track. Argh this sucks so much...maybe I should just let everything be...

Crate Motors...

Ahh the issue of the day. This one hits home more than I would have expected it too. Evidently our local short track see's that expensive engines are the reason that people aren't racing and that we should make every existing team drop a dime on a crate motor. Sounds like a grand plan to me.....

Here's a thought for every single racetrack owner out there; Make the racers the second priority, but treat them as the first. Make a racer feel welcome at the racetrack, have a consistent set of rules for the weekend. Don't be afraid to make a black and white call. Ensure that every class gets the same treatment the big dogs do, but know who really puts the butts in the seats.

Maybe I'm just a lil upset over seeing my local track try to run itself into the ground, thinking it can save racers money. but when you have to spend 10,000 just on tires to race for a season, and be lucky to earn 10,000 in winnings something isn't right. I don't know many people who wanna tear up 50,000 dollar racecars for a 1,500 dollar winners purse.

Wednesday, July 06, 2005

okay so its Wednesday

I've been kinda busy catching up with people and taking care of bills and stuff and forgot about updating this thing. The trip started out like I wouldn't make it home, but everything ended up alright. Atleast now I can say I've been to Vegas....

I've got a good topic about friends that I think I'll save for tomorrow cause I'm still mulling around whether its me or them that are changing. Its still sad to see a big circle of tight friends break smaller and smaller. Oh well nothing I can really do about it here, got to see most everybody and do what I wanted to do. Took bunches of pictures and have good memories, its all I can ask for.

Friday, July 01, 2005

See ya all on Tuesday

I won't be near a computer long enough to update this thing, so I'll see everybody on Tuesday! thanks for all the well wishes and I'm sooooo excited to finally be going back home! WHOOHOOO!
